The aim of this material is to kick-start those who want to begin the exploration of what it means to be an ethical jeweler. With a basic introduction to the mining sector, these modules explore the issues, the supply chains and recommend actions that jewelers can take to improve their ethical performance.
They are also helpful to anyone who is interested in understanding the basic issues around mine to market responsibility.
The Red & Green Books cover Mining, Gold, Diamonds and Gemstones as well as a glossary on industry initiatives that are seeking to address the ethical and Fair Trade uplift of our industry.
