Jewelers That Care Honors Visionary Leaders of the Jewelry Sector at JCK Show
By Alethe Clemetson, Director and Founder of Jewelers That Care
Jewelers That Care is a new non-profit with a compelling global perspective that will at once tap into the industry’s international reach and appeal while energizing and inspiring independent jewelers.
Many of the industry’s best known and most visionary members will be at the event, which will give attendees a great chance to help launch an important new initiative and connect with some of the industry’s leading, trend-setting figures.
Our host will be respected industry consultant and expert Diane Warga-Arias.
Leaders receiving awards will include:
• Torrance Hoover, president of leading “green” metal supplier and smelter Hoover & Strong.
• Lori Bonn, best known as a highly gifted designer, also works intensively with non-profit organizations both locally and in the developing world.
• Eric Braumwart, founder of Columbia Gem House, a ground-breaker in both its mining and gem cutting practices.
• Nancy Schuring, president and founder of Devon Fine Jewelry, an independent jeweler that has done breakthrough work in cause-related marketing.
• Mark Choyt of Reflective Images Inc., who has gained high visibility in the industry through supporting fair trade practices and acting as an information hub.
Jewelers That Care’s work is already making a difference, as it improves infrastructures in Africa and supports American jewelers in becoming more involved in cause-related marketing.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010.
