Guardian article on Fairtrade Gold Pilot projects in Tanzania

A quick post for everyone who is following the progress of the Fairtrade Gold Pilots projects in east Africa (see link below). An excellent article in The Guardian on a recent visit to some of the pilots projects in Tanzania. This is a living illustration of why we need the jewellery trade, industry and and goldsmiths to get behind the fairtrade programme in Gold. The impact we can have collectively is really making a difference. Let us match the scale of the human rights and environmental challenge with the scale of our commitment to be the change we want to see.
