Blood Diamonds From Zimbabwe Officially Certified As “Conflict Free”
The Kimberley Process Chairman has decided to allow diamonds from the Marange field in Zimbabwe to be certified as conflict free. This decision has caused disappointment and outrage among both jewelers and NGOs concerned about diamonds in context to human rights.
Many consider these diamonds from Marange as “blood diamonds.”
