The Erongo Small Scale Miners Association is a not for profit organization established to support the local gemstone miners in the Erongo Region of Namibia. The organization is operated and governed by small scale miners, with support from stakeholders such as the Erongo Regional Council and The Rössing Foundation. ERSMA was established as a formal organization in 2008 and an administrative office was opened in 2011. ERSMA also operates a subsidized equipment hire business called Topaz.
